Series

Hi there,
One of the funniest part of collecting is to complete series. I love to have complete series of pieces, in this case walkmans.
I started bit by bit from the very beggining to put effort and search for interesting series, and I'd like to show you some of them.
I'd very interesting if you show yours.
Let's start ;-)
This is one of the first series I've had: best EQ models from SONY and AIWA back in '85:
and this one shows the most sophisticated players in that year:
Actually, I got first my G08 in silver, and after some time, I could complete the wonderful series of AIWA players in '85, which I find some of the most interesting from a collector's point of view:
Then I could complete my G08 serie (european colors, in Japan there were a few more):
The G09 is a later model, very nice too:
And the SONY WM-10 is legendary, as well as very difficult to complete:
The WM-7, first player with feather touch and remote:
The first Sports and the first and unique solar Sports:
Of course, the Solar in both colors:
The 701C is another wonderful series, including the silver, white, F701C (with radio) and the luxurius 701S (silver plated). I still don't have the 701T (Tiffany) but I now have the red version (photo still not updated):
Do you know there is a walkman with two heads? Yes, the EX909. Here's the serie with all colors:
And that there existed a walkman with TV? Yes, the Sharp TV-10... in three colors:
ONe of the most stylish series is, of course, the Sanyo ES-P7:
That shares design with the 701C:
One of the strangest series, is composed of weird models which have earphones inside the walkman :-O
And the most luxurius... the golden series:
If I include 'like golden' models (SONY WM-20 and WM-DD), it is even more luxurius:
Hope you enjoy.
Do you have any interesting serie? Show us!

in mathematics, a series is the sum of the terms of a sequence either finite or infinite. i like the way your presentations turn the former into the latter with new rearrangements of your masterful collection

Hugo...you're collection gets better and better with every photo. Do you have any pics of the 701S?
I don't think I've ever seen one before.

Thanks to all!

AHHHHH MAGNIFICENT HUGO.... the chrome or 701S are most certainly the most challenging to photograph. Your 701S photos are the BEST yet I have seen. Wonderful composition using the shadow to add to the sexy lines of this player yet keeping reflections to a minimum or gone completely. Know the time you spent accomplishing those shots.
As for your Series of Walkman you have SO MANY models well covered especially many that are nigh impossible to have them all. Wonderful to see them put together in such splendor. Truly the rest of us without such can nearly have your joy of touching and having them by our seeing such great photos.
I shall have to see what I may have although my collection focused on acquiring as many models of all brands ( 60 manufactures now have) as I could so I never focused to have all colors but its the highest endeavor in collecting. You have done WELL. Thanks for keeping Walkman topics of Greatness coming as S2G seems in past 2 years moved more toward our brothers in boombox world. Wonderful to have a forum with great participation. All good keep the Walkman alive my friend.

Thanks John! Your praises make me proud, really.
For taking these photos I've had to go to a friend's studio and then, after carefully cleaning silver and setting up the lighting, I've had to take multiple shots that I knew I'll have to blend. I continue explaining in the 701S post, ok?
Wow, do you have as much as 60 different brands??? Wow. I never imagine it could exist so many
I think collecting reflects some of our deepest desires and do follow some of our livings.
As for mine, I spent many years of my teenage in a small village here in Spain, far from big cities. There were just a few shops of technology and it was hard just to see many high-level models, so I always dreamed of see or even touch one of them. I always liked high-quality things (as many other people, of course), but I was open to pay higher sums for having one (as not many other people). The problem is that even if I had the money or not, I couldn't get high class models. Reason why probably I'm focused in those models nowadays.
I collected as many catalogs as I could (I still have many) and I dreamed to have enough money to have not only high level models, but also every variant: AIWA JX707, JX3000...
Now these days is possible, thanks to the Internet ;-)
I guess that you had many different brands available in your teenage and probably reflects your interests (in my country there were only a few available: SONY, AIWA, and a only from 1990 on, Panasonic and a few low quality brands that I never cared of). Ie: Panasonic only released walkmans in my country from 1990 and on, but there were many models I've never seen until nowadays. Almost the same for Sharp, Toshiba or JVC.
Look forward to see your series ;-)
BTW: I remember that a member called 'Schokobomb' showed his collection some time ago with an amazing number of SONY post-90's series in all the colours available.
