My eBay listing 2 months ago had high bids of $800 and $810 but I had a reserve higher than that. Boxed Boodo Khans complete and in near mint condition including repaired center gear and service are rarely found on eBay anymore. Very rare and the price is market correct for current economy. And for those using British Pounds to buy an American item the price is very fair. In the end it is worth what someone is willing to pay. It stays in my collection for anything less than asking price.

Hi JohnEdward don't be put off by anyone saying anything about prices as that is just trolling.
Good luck with your sale I am pretty sure you will get a good price.

PS also for corry's benefit here is ebay link to my original auction with final highest bid of $810 USD !
Regarding corry's statement -
"Nice Walkman but Price absolutly unreal Sorry"
Just how absolutely unreal is price of $796 with proof of two bids above that from different bidders 60 days ago?

It's a fair price as they go for that complete. Price of all highend walkmans when up in price. Wish I could buy it, but have alot of money into other projects that need to be completed first.

Hey Mr. Edwards. Thank you for being a collector. I've search hi and low over the years for this unit. Just to be able to see it again. You see, when I was 16 I bought this unit on NYC's grey market. I had a great job and saw it in a store window on the way home. For weeks I dreamed of this Walkman until finally the day came when I tested my faith in God and my ability to withstand dads wrath for spending so much money. I had no idea at the time what a Boodo Khan was but I wanted a Walkman. Furthermore, I wanted something that no one else had. Walked into the store and told the clerk that I wanted the Boodo Khan in the window and he and his colleagues smirked at each other. (young black kid) He said "This is very expensive" I think $200.00 or $300.00 dollars you can't afford it. I smiled with confidence and took out my little unassuming pouch where I kept my money and insisted on seeing it. He did not even want me to touch the unit. I did anyway much to there she-grin. He wouldn't even negotiate w/ me or tell me a real price. When he saw that I had a shit load of cash his attitude suddenly changed. I confirmed a price, talked my way out of the taxes and the rest was ancient history. I could wait to get home. I opened the package on the train ride home. I was elated. Then fist time heard the sound coming out of the Boodo Khan new I had something special. I loaned it to a cousin and he dropped it. It was never the same after that. In my opinion even by today's digital standards this unit would give modern players a run for the money. I'm deployed with the military at present was resting when this unique device popped back into my head as it always does periodically. My eyes lit up when I saw that it finally has a following. For years you could not find any info on it; Sony even dropped it from there archives. I looked under rocks and could not find it. Though I can't afford it right now I hope to some day own one again.. Thanks for sharing sharing yours.
Sincerely,

Bosai, I plan to sell one in very similar condition, boxed and with the internal center gear professionally serviced, so it's fully working and sounding great.
the only drawback is that the plastic internal piece was lost and it's replaced with a handmade foam piece that looks similar.
BTW: I'm searching for new sponges for one of my DR-S100 headphones. Anyone knows if is there any at eBay that matches?

Hi,
Thats a great story, always nice to hear of someone getting what they dreamed of, also good to hear that you got one up on the HiFi store snobs! They maybe expensive but if you can afford it and it means that much to you, go for it, you only live once!
