This is the service manual thread for walkmans of all brands such as AIWA, SONY, Panasonic etc...

So to get started here are a couple

But some time ago there were other posts like this and another user created a repository on MediaFire with so much files, so maybe we can add all files to there, so we have an unique place for them:

I suggest that we can use the more flexible DropBox service for that, so we can create an account and share the folder between us. I can create this folder in my account and share it.

I uploaded all the manuals I have and some of the ones you posted here to a folder on my DropBox.

Dropbox, for those you don't know it, is like a hard disk folder in the Internet. A folder with up to 1GB where you can put whatever you want (word documents, photos, PDF...) and you can access it through a browser. It's very useful.

We can use it for sharing manuals. for doing so, you just have to jump to dropbox, register your new account (it's free and very easy) and then send me a request for sharing.

This way we can have an unique, big place for putting all the manuals and download them easily.

As good as a service it may be, I don't use dropbox.

Accessing them from this site here is not a major pain in the ass. Now if only the Mods would make this a sticky thread so that it didn't sink into oblivion.

In any case the last thing I want is yet another set of credentials to remember.

Paul (site owner) has previously stated that there are no issues with disk storage on the website in it's current form. To that end I will continue to upload them here.

Please feel free to back them up to dropbox if in the unlikely event the site becomes unavailable and we need to recover them back.

meanwhile i`ve got another WM-2... seems, that i`m too dumb for repairing walkmen... always the same crap... changing belts and cleaning rollers often has no final solution effect. there`s still a wobbling/jerky sound... B-sides of autoreverse models wobble around, etc... have now 5 players from different brands here, all the same sh*t ...

Hi I followed your link to try and find a manual for my sx3 and also did a test download on another model the site does work but when I tried to download the file you need it reported a  page problem.

I shall continue to search for stuff for my sx3 and will keep trying for your download if that will help.

Looking for manuals for the F2 and F10. I figured these wouldn't be difficult to find since they're relatively popular, but I've checked the linked mediafire, hi-fi thing, ebay, and still coming up blank. Anyone?

Saw a WM-F2 service or owner manual recently on ebay... do a search should still be there.

I just bought a New in the box Sony WM-702C and of course the seller stated the motor turns and makes sound but no movement.  So the belt must be replaced.  I have replaced the belts on some of my walkman myself, like the easy ones WM-10 WmF100 series.  Any one replace a belt in the 701 or 702 sony's?  Easy? or a nightmare like some JVC or Aiwa?  and does anyone have a service manual for this unit.  Thank you very much.
